Change # 4.01
Added checks to prevent "false" recipes from being extracted when
someone includes a Recipe Header within a Quoted Message.
Change # 4.02
Additional checks added to Sharon Stevens recipe extraction
routine in an attempt to make sure it is a valid Stevens recipe.
Change # 4.03
A check is now made on MealMaster 6.31 offerings to replace the
line of " ~-----------" with plus signs, or if the line in the recipe
is " ~=========" only the tilde will be replaced with an "=". Now
using the same logic to test all versions of Meal-Master recipes.
NOTE:
The exception would be a Meal-Master recipe that has been created
with a word processor and does not have an exact "header". An example
would be "----- Meal-Master" with the recipe terminator being "-----".
FOOD 4.1 will replace the header with:
----- Recipe in Meal-Master v6.2 and above Importable Format from FOOD 4.1
The end-of-recipe dashes will be replaced with a full line of
dashes. Any quantities can be in any column from 1 to 7, the units of
measure must be in the same column as an exported MealMaster recipe,
the remainder of the ingredient line can't extend past column 39.
Truncation occurs at column 40. A second column of ingredients will
be detected as a two column recipe as long as the units of measure are
in the correct column and the remainder of the ingredients do not
wordwrap into column 1. (Please read the specifications outlined in
the Meal-Master 6.31 documentation for the limitations to this free
form recipe.)
The reason this is being mentioned at this point, is due to the
only requirement for an end of recipe termination is 5 dashes
beginning in column 1 and has no other characters in the line other
than dashes and spaces after column 5. As a result of this
restriction, lines that say, "--------------DIRECTIONS--------------"
would be detected as an end-of-recipe line due to the 5 dashes at the
start of the line. There are two ways this problem can be handled by
your word processor, 1) Replace the first six dashes with the space
character, or 2) delete the offending line. Less than 1% of the
Cooking Echo recipes will now present this problem to FOOD 4.1.
As the author of this program, I would appreciate NetMail addressed to
John P. Nicholson of FidoNet 1:308/10 (505) 437-2280, Alamogordo, NM
if there are "roaches" (AKA Bugs) that need exterminating or phone
voice 505-437-4308 (your dime) and I will attempt to get a fix out as
expediently as possible. Thank you for using FOOD 4.1, it can be a
hazard to your health if you try some of the offerings in the Cooking
Echo.
